Product overview

The Perma-Set Retainer Production Packer incorporates a body lock ring and setting sleeve at the lower end, with an oversized seal bore at the upper end. Because size limitations prevent conversion to a top-set design, the smaller CT-FAB packers remain bottom-set. These earlier bottom-set versions continue to form part of the product range.

The Model CT-FAB Retainer Production Packer in smaller sizes is equipped with a threaded bottom guide to accommodate various extensions, including the Mill-Out Extension and Seal Bore Extension.

Features & setting options

  • Wireline setting

    When set with the Wireline Pressure Setting Assembly, the CT-FAB provides a safe, fast and economical method of placing a permanent, large-bore drillable packer at a predetermined point in the casing.

  • Large upper sealing bore

    Smaller CT-FAB sizes are designed for tubingless completions. The large upper sealing bore allows the largest possible opening through the packer. All sizes also include a lower sealing bore for use when required.

  • Alternative setting options

    The packer can also be set on tubing or drill pipe using a Hydraulic Setting Assembly in conjunction with a Wireline Adapter Kit.
