The Straight Set Down Set Service Packer is designed for situations where it is not possible to rotate the tubing string during installation. The packer can be installed and retrieved simply by reciprocating movement of the tubing string.
This heavy-duty axial set service packer is ideally suited for squeeze cementing, formation fracturing, high pressure acidizing, water shut-off and various completion operations. The large bore design allows unrestricted flow while maintaining excellent sealing performance.
The packer is equipped with hydraulic hold-down buttons, a robust J-slot mechanism and heavy-duty drag blocks for dependable setting. A three-element packing system ensures reliable sealing under high differential pressures.
Built-in equalizing ports and an internal unloader improve run-in performance and simplify retrieval after completion of the operation.
