FLOAT SHOE & collar
The COMPLETION OIL TOOLS® Float Shoe consists of rounded profile from the bottom which is attached to the downhole end of a casing string. It contains NRV valve which prevents reverse flow. The Float Shoe also guides the casing towards the center of the hole to lessen the hitting rock ledges. It can resist the Back Pressure Up to 5000 PSI.
The float shoe reduces hook weight. With controlled or partial fill-up as the string is run, the casing string can be floated into position, avoiding the need for the rig to carry the entire weight of the casing string.
